		<description>It sounds like you are saying that $30 billion of the $87 billion spent on gift cards every year goes unspent.  Is that what you really mean?  Most conventional estimates pin the amount of breakage yearly at around 10% or $8.7 billion per year.  

Perhaps you meant $30 billion in cumulative unspent gift cards from the current and previous years, which sounds like a very good number to me.</description>
