I went to an outlet mall a few days ago and while in Bath & Body Works I saw Victoria’s Secret PINK products.

After seeing the display I had to question myself which store I was in.  I thought I was in Bath & Body Works.  Utterly confused, I asked the associate who confirmed Bath & Body Works is owned by the same parent company [Limited Brands] as Victoria’s Secret.  I shared that the Bath & Body Works at the mall I normally shop at does not sell Victoria’s Secret products.  And, I was told each Bath & Body Works store can be different.

I got home and searched bathandbodyworks.com to find something even more mind-boggling.  (Hopefully, my screenshots don’t make you squint.)

On Victoria Secret’s own website, a 8.4 oz. bottle of PINK with a Splash in the Fresh & Clean scent is $18.  Or, you can get 2 for $24 or 3 for $30.  A discount for multiples seems like a nice deal, right?

One would think.

And one would think Bath & Body Works offers the same deal.

Wrong.

Bath & Body Works actually has a lower price on Victoria’s Secret products!

Check this… the same product (PINK mist in Fresh & Clean), in the same size (8.4 oz.), is the same cost for one ($18).  But when you buy 2 Bath & Body Works only charges $20, and for 3 Bath & Body Works charges $25.

So by changing stores alone, you’d save $5.

Even sweeter is that Plastic Jungle sells Bath & Body Works discount gift cards for 12% less than face value.

As a frugal shopper, I’m going to buy Victoria’s Secret body care products from Bath & Body Works, because when I do, my cost is significantly less than buying the same products at Victoria’s Secret.

At Bath & Body Works I can buy 3 PINK Fresh & Clean body mists for $25, use a 20% off coupon code, and pay with discount Bath & Body gift cards to take home what I want for $17.60 (plus tax).

Alternatively, I could keep shopping for these same products at Victoria’s Secret, but in the end I would pay $30 (plus tax).  Sometimes Victoria’s Secret has coupons, so that might take a little off, and sometimes Plastic Jungle has Victoria’s Secret discount gift cards.  But even those discounts do not make the cost equal.

Who would have known you could buy Victoria’s Secret body care anywhere else than Victoria’s Secret AND PAY LESS?!

Access to Costco bulk sizes and discount prices is NOT only for membership holders. 

I know that sounds strange, but it’s true.  Although Costco membership does mean Costco coupons will be mailed to your home on a regular basis, when you have Costco Cash Cards (i.e. Costco gift cards) you can pump Costco gasoline, eat in Costco’s food court, and buy anything your heart desires from a Costco warehouse and from Costco.com.

Love the idea of shopping at Costco wholesale, but lacking a membership card?  Stock up on discount Costco gift cards (also called Costco Cash Cards) from Plastic Jungle and you’ll unlock Costco warehouse, Costco.com, and Costco gas station savings WITHOUT a membership!  Right now, while in stock, you can stock up on $100 Costco gift cards for only $98.  Even Costco members cannot get that kind of discount on Costco Cash Cards!

Household appliances.  Moving or replacing an old or broken appliance can be a big ticket purchase.  The beauty of buying appliances like clothes washers and dryers, dishwashers, refrigerators, and vacuums from Costco is that Costco guarantees your satisfaction on every product they sell.  (With the exception of electronics which only come with a 90 day guarantee.  See Costco’s Return Policy for details.)  That means if you something goes wrong with the dishwasher you purchased from Costco, just take it back.  My husband and I deliberately bought our electronic lawn mower from Costco a couple of years ago to give ourselves the piece of mind that if something were to go wrong we would be able to return the mower.

Furniture.  Costco carries quality indoor and outdoor furniture.  Warehouses carry a few items, but Costco.com has a broader selection of couches, loveseats, sectionals, office furniture, patio sets, etc.

A word to the wise, while Costco.com accepts Costco Cash and many major credit card brands as payment, Costco warehouses only accept Costco Cash, American Express, debit cards, personal check, or cash.
