CLOTHING

Fashion always comes full circle, and this fall is no exception. The 70’s are back – with a focus on 70’s bohemian and 70’s sophisticated glamour. Look for flares, wide-leg pants and high-waist pants with elegant blouses. Groovy, baby!

Mod also dominated the runways, with double-breasted pea coats (like the one below left from Louis Vuitton) or Peter Pan collars as seen on this dress below on the right from designer Giambattista Valli.

Maxi dresses continue to make a presence, but with a twist. Sheer maxi’s or those with slits or trains show a little extra personality.

ACCESSORIES

Head wraps, gloves and black satin sashes made a statement on the runway, as did choker necklaces and cuff bracelets. Other hot accessories include Russian-inspired fur caps and fuzzy handbags!

PATTERNS

This fall, look for geometric patterns and bold mixed prints. Lace continues to be on-trend, as does the perpetually perky polka dot. Even florals, which you might associate with spring, has a place this season on cold-weather clothing.
