Plastic Jungle Marketplace Policy (for Buyers)

This Marketplace Policy is incorporated into, and made a part of, the Plastic Jungle Terms of Use, and capitalized terms used and not defined in this policy have the meaning given to them in the Terms.

  1. Gift Card Marketplace.

    Plastic Jungle provides a platform that allows registered users who want to purchase gift cards ("Buyers") to search for gift cards for purchase, if and when available through Plastic Jungle. Plastic Jungle purchases gift cards from a variety of third party sellers and lists them for sale on the Site. Other cards are listed on behalf of retailers on a point of sale activated basis. Plastic Jungle provides Buyers with certain protections through the Plastic Jungle Guarantee. Plastic Jungle also provides a variety of resources for Buyers to help you learn how to make the most of your experience with Plastic Jungle. For more information, visit our Buyer Learning Center.

  2. Gift Card Verification.

    In order to ensure a safe and open marketplace, all gift cards listed on Plastic Jungle are verified to confirm the listed balance and merchant are accurate at the time the card is listed. Verification is designed to limit, but does not guarantee against, fraudulent activity with respect to the card. gift cards that cannot be verified as to the exact merchant, value and expiration date will not be listed on Plastic Jungle. Plastic Jungle is not responsible for its or a merchant's ability or inability to verify a gift card. (Please see our Plastic Jungle Guarantee.)

  3. Finding Gift Cards and Buying.

    You can learn more about buying gift cards through the Plastic Jungle Service in our Buyer Learning Center.

    • Buying. To purchase a gift card, browse the Site for gift cards that match what you are seeking. When you find a desirable gift card, click on the "Add to Cart" button to purchase the gift card. You will then be prompted to enter your valid payment method, if it is not already stored in your account profile, so that Plastic Jungle can process your payment.
    • Gift Guru. The Gift Guru is a tool to assist Buyers in choosing a gift card as a gift. It makes recommendations and in no way limits or mandates your purchasing choices.
    • Notifications. Plastic Jungle offers Site users the ability to create a "Notification" of gift cards that the user wishes to be alerted to when they become available on the Site and the option to establish specific criteria to be met regarding prices or discounts. Plastic Jungle may also, now or in the future, allow you to authorize Plastic Jungle to purchase gift cards from your "Notifications" list on your behalf, based on specific criteria, and to process payment through the payment method you have specified in your account profile. As many users wish to purchase the same cards, and Notifications are sent on a group basis, Plastic Jungle cannot guarantee that a specific gift card will be available by the time you receive and attempt to act on the alert. Plastic Jungle encourages you to select the alert means that is most likely to alert you on a timely basis, and to frequently check for Notifications.
  4. Shipping.

    Plastic Jungle ships gift cards to Buyers within two (2) weeks of purchase, and does not charge any shipping fees. For more information on our shipping commitment, please see the Plastic Jungle Guarantee.
