Plastic Jungle Guarantee

We take the reliability of the Plastic Jungle Service very seriously, so that all users can take part in the Plastic Jungle marketplace with confidence. This Guarantee provides certain protections for Buyers and Sellers. This Guarantee is incorporated into, and made a part of, the Plastic Jungle Terms of Use, and capitalized terms used and not defined in this policy have the meaning given to them in the Terms.

In order for us to track and guarantee all transactions, Sellers must provide fulfillment information for purchased gift cards, including their delivery and shipment, through our "Exclusive Shipping Partner".

FOR BUYERS

Our Guarantee protects Buyers by providing a mechanism to address situations in which:

  • The gift card you purchased does not arrive within two (2) weeks of the date of purchase.
  • Your gift card has a balance less than the listed balance at the time of purchase.
  • Your gift card is not authentic or is not valid for use.
Buyer Guarantee Benefits and How to Make a Claim
  1. Our Guarantee takes effect if you do not receive the gift card you purchased within two (2) weeks of the date of purchase. In that case:

    • If you chose to use PayPal to pay for the card, you must first go through PayPal's dispute resolution mechanism. Our Guarantee will not apply unless PayPal declines coverage of the loss or declines to cover the entire amount of the loss.
    • You should contact Customer Service at customerservice@plasticjungle.com or 1-877-MY-JUNGLE no more than three (3) weeks following the purchase date.
    • If the initial two (2) weeks have passed, we will provide you with a claim form, which you must fill out properly. You must also provide us with the PayPal letter showing that PayPal denied or did not fully cover your claim (if the transaction was processed through PayPal).
    • We will attempt to locate the missing gift card or offer you a gift card equivalent to the one you purchased. If we cannot, we will credit the credit or debit card or PayPal account you used to pay for the gift card in the amount that you paid.
  2. If the gift card you receive has a balance less than the listed balance at the time of purchase:

    • When you receive the card, you must follow the directions on the back of the card to verify with the merchant the balance on the card. You should contact Customer Service at customerservice@plasticjungle.com or 1-877-MY-JUNGLE no more than one (1) week after your receipt of the gift card.
    • We will provide you with a claim form, which you must fill out properly.
    • We will investigate your claim to determine whether the card balance was not as listed, and if so, why.
    • If we determine that you did not receive the gift card you agreed to purchase or the card balance was not as listed, we will: (i) provide you with a replacement gift card that is the same (same merchant, same balance) as the one you agreed to purchase; or (ii) at our option, and following our receipt from you of the card you received (using the prepaid shipping label we send you), credit the debit or credit card or PayPal account you used to pay in the amount that you paid for the card.
  3. If the gift card you receive is not honored by the merchant:

    • When you receive the card, you must follow the directions on the back of the card to verify with the merchant the validity of the card. You should contact Customer Service at customerservice@plasticjungle.com or 1-877-MY JUNGLE no more than two (2) weeks after your receipt of the gift card.
    • We will provide you with a claim form, which you must fill out properly.
    • We will provide you with a prepaid shipping label to use to return the gift card to us, along with a Gift Card Return Form.
    • If the merchant confirms to us that the gift card was invalid, we will issue you a refund for the full amount you paid for the gift card. We will do so by crediting the credit or debit card or PayPal account you used to pay.

FOR SELLERS

The Plastic Jungle Guarantee described below protects Sellers by providing a mechanism to address situations in which

  • you do not receive payment for all gift card offers you accept and confirm and timely fulfill.
Seller Guarantee Benefits and How to Make a Claim
  1. If you have not received payment for a gift card within two (2) weeks:

    • Please first check to make sure that the Seller Payment Information you provided to Plastic Jungle is correct in My Account.

      If you opted to receive payment via PayPal, the email address you provided in your Seller Payment Information must match the email address you registered at PayPal. If you opted to receive a check issued to you by name, please make sure that the first and last names as well as the address you provided in the Seller Payment Information are correct. If you opted to receive a check issued to your company, please make sure that the Company Name you provided in the Seller Payment Information is correct.

    • After making any necessary corrections, or if your information is already correct, please submit a Payment Investigation Request. We will investigate the payment in question to determine whether the payment has already been processed and, if it has not, we will make every effort to do so as quickly as possible. In the event we determine that payment needs to be processed, please allow one (1) week for us to issue payment.

ABUSE OF THE PLASTIC JUNGLE GUARANTEE

We reserve the right to suspend or cancel the registration of any Buyer or Seller who we believe, in our sole discretion, abuses or attempts to abuse the Plastic Jungle Guarantee. We will report any such abuse to the appropriate legal authorities.

GUARANTEE EXCEPTIONS

The intent of this guarantee is to protect our users from the common risks associated with the transaction of business online. In that spirit, we must note the exceptions. This policy does not protect you against any event or loss that would have occurred if you had purchased the gift card directly from the retailer. Moreover, we do not guarantee the transaction if you simply change your mind or you become dissatisfied with your own personal choice. Finally, this guarantee does not apply to any transaction or attempted transaction by users outside of the Plastic Jungle Service.
