Plastic Jungle Guarantee for Buyers/Traders

How the Plastic Jungle Guarantee protects Buyers/Traders
Plastic Jungle guarantees all Buyers/Traders the following:

  • You will get your purchased or traded gift card within fifteen (15) days of the date of purchase.
  • Your gift card will have a value equivalent to or more than the listed value at the time of purchase.
  • Your gift card is authentic and valid for use.

Guarantee Benefits and How to Make a Claim

  • If you do not receive your gift card within fifteen (15) calendar days of the date of purchase:
    • If you chose to use PayPal to pay for the card, you must first go through PayPal's dispute resolution mechanism. PayPal must decline coverage of the loss or decline to cover the entire amount of the loss.
    • You must contact Customer Service at customerservice@plasticjungle.com or 1-877-MY-JUNGLE no more than three (3) calendar days after the fifteenth day following the purchase date.
    • If the fifteen (15) calendar days have passed, Plastic Jungle will provide you with a claim form, which you must fill out properly. You must also provide Plastic Jungle with the PayPal letter showing that it denied or did not fully cover your claim (if the transaction was processed through PayPal).
    • We will attempt to locate the gift card. If we cannot, we will credit the credit or debit card or PayPal account you used to pay for the gift card in the amount that you paid.
  • If the gift card you receive does not have a value equivalent to or more than the listed value at the time of purchase:
    • When you receive the card, you must follow the directions on the back of the card to verify with the retailer the value of the card. You must contact Customer Service at customerservice@plasticjungle.com or 1-877-MY-JUNGLE no more than three (3) calendar days after your receipt of the gift card.
    • We will provide you with a claim form, which you must fill out properly.
    • We will investigate your complaint and determine whether you received the gift card you agreed to purchase.
    • If we determine that you did not receive the gift card you agreed to purchase, we will: (1) provide you with a replacement gift card that is the same (same merchant, same value) as the one you agreed to purchase; or (2) at our option, and following our receipt from you of the card you received (using the prepaid shipping label we send you), credit the debit or credit card or PayPal account you used to pay in the amount that you paid for the card.
  • If the gift card you receive is fraudulent and not honored by the merchant:
    • When you receive the card, you must follow the directions on the back of the card to verify with the retailer the validity of the card. You must contact Customer Service at customerservice@plasticjungle.com or 1-877-MY JUNGLE no more than three (3) calendar days after your receipt of the gift card.
    • We will provide you with a claim form, which you must fill out properly.
    • We will provide you with a prepaid shipping label to use to return the gift card to us, along with a Gift Card Return Form.
    • If the merchant confirms to us that the gift card was fraudulent, we will issue you a refund for the full amount you paid for the gift card. We will do so by crediting the credit or debit card or PayPal account you used to pay.
    • Refunds for fraudulent gift cards are limited to a lifetime maximum of $1,000, or two claims under the Plastic Jungle Guarantee, per person, whichever comes first.

Plastic Jungle Guarantee for Sellers/Traders

How the Plastic Jungle Guarantee protects Sellers/Traders
Plastic Jungle guarantees all Sellers/Traders the following:

  • You will never be contacted directly by a Buyer, prospective Buyer or Trader in the course of your transaction.
  • You can adjust the price of your listed gift card to reflect marketplace value at any time.
  • You will receive payment for all gift card orders you confirm and timely fulfill.

Guarantee Benefits and How to Make a Claim

  • If you are contacted directly by a Buyer, prospective Buyer or Trader regarding an order:
    • Plastic Jungle wants to know. Please note the date and time of the contact, as well as any additional details. Then notify Customer Service at 1-877-MY-JUNGLE or customerservice@plasticjungle.com or your Volume Seller A cc ount Representative about the incident.
    • You may request that the commission for the order in question be refunded by submitting a Buyer Contact Investigation Report . Please provide as much detail as possible.
    • This guarantee does not apply to the mere delivery of gift cards to you by a Seller or Trader, through Plastic Jungle channels.
  • If you cannot adjust the price of your listed fixed or declining price gift card (or on a trade listing where a trade has not yet been placed):
    • Please call Customer Service at 1-877-MY-JUNGLE for assistance. You must be using a supported browser and have Internet connectivity. Please note that we reserve the right to make changes to our Site functionality that may require gift card pricing to be temporarily unavailable. We are not responsible for general Internet availability and ISP outages which may affect your ability to a cc ess the Site.

  • If you have not received payment for a gift card:
    • If you have not yet received payment for a gift card, please first check to make sure that the Seller Payment Information you provided to Plastic Jungle is correct in My Account.
      • If you opted to receive payment via PayPal, the email address you provided in your Seller Payment Contact must match the email address you registered at PayPal.
      • If you opted to receive a check issued to you by name, please make sure that the first and last names you provided in the Seller Payment Contact are correct.
      • If you opted to receive a check issued to your company, please make sure that the Company Name you provided in the Seller Payment Contact is correct.
    • After making any necessary corrections, or if your information is already correct, please submit a Payment Investigation Request . We will investigate the payment in question to determine whether the payment has already been processed, and, if it has not, we will make every effort to do so as quickly as possible. Please allow 2-3 weeks for us to re-issue payment.

Abuse of the Plastic Jungle Guarantee
We reserve the right to suspend or cancel the registration of any Buyer, Seller or Trader who we believe, in our sole discretion, abuses or attempts to abuse the Plastic Jungle Guarantee. We will report any such abuse to the appropriate legal authorities.

Guarantee Exceptions

The intent of this guarantee is to protect our Site users from the common risks associated with the transaction of business online. In that spirit, we must note the exceptions. This policy does not protect against any event or loss that would have o cc urred if you had purchased the gift card directly from the retailer. Moreover, we do not guarantee the transaction if you simply change your mind or you become dissatisfied with your own personal choice. Finally, this guarantee does not apply to any transaction or attempted transaction by Site users outside of the Plastic Jungle Site.

Changes

We reserve the right to change or discontinue this Guarantee, or any part of it, at any time, without notice or liability to you or any third party.

Effective Date
The Plastic Jungle Guarantee is effective as of, and applies to all orders placed after, the launch of the new Plastic Jungle website, scheduled for November 17, 2007.
