Shipping Learning Center
Why United States Postal Service?
In short, integrating the Plastic Jungle marketplace with USPS tracking helps make our Plastic Jungle Guarantee to buyers and sellers possible.
We use USPS so we can track all shipments to ensure that sellers ship gift cards on time and that buyers get them in a timely manner. From the moment you sell your gift card, we're watching closely to make sure the exchange goes smoothly – and we don't pay the seller until we've confirmed delivery.
Sellers always pay shipping fees on Plastic Jungle. The shipping fee associated with the Shipping Method you chose is deducted from the proceeds of your gift card sale as well as PJ's commission prior to your check.
Shipping must be through our website to ensure our ability to track and therefore guarantee every transaction. Shipping fees range from $0.58-$16.25, depending upon where and how quickly and securely your gift cards are being shipped. The sooner the Gift Card arrives the sooner the Seller get paid.
When your gift cards sell, we require that you ship through your “My Account” page:
- Go to “My Account” and click on the “Ship Now” button or click on the link in the email notification you received informing you that your gift card sold.
- You will be provided with three shipping options; (a) USPS Priority with Delivery Confirmation, (b) USPS First Class Mail with Delivery Confirmation, (c) USPS Express Overnight with Delivery Confirmation. The faster you get the gift card to the Buyer the faster you get paid.
- Once you have chosen your Shipping Method click the “Print Label” button.
- Once you have printed your label apply it securely with tape to your envelope.
- Place in your mailbox and indicate to your postal carrier that you have outgoing mail.
- You can track your shipment through “My Account” and “Show Shipping” next to the card you sent.
- Once your card is confirmed as delivered Plastic Jungle will issue you a check.
You will be provided a pre-paid shipping label through “My Account” to use to ship your gift card. In most cases, the shipping label generates automatically when you accept or acknowledge a sale or offer. Remember:
- Always use the pre-paid USPS shipping label to ship your Gift Card . Because the shipping label's tracking number is linked to your Gift Card listing, your payment may be delayed if you don't use it.
- Use any envelope that the label fits on to ship your Gift Card. Packaging must be large enough to see the whole label. You may cut the label where specified. If the label is not presentable and scanable by USPS your shipment may be delayed or lost which may result in your not being paid. USPS envelopes are available at USPS.com for free. You can order them and your Postal Carrier will deliver them right to your mailbox.
To ship your Gift Cards:
- Print the shipping label and be sure the barcode is legible.
- Examine the shipping label to make sure the order number on the label matches the order number for the gift card you are shipping.
- Place the Gift Card in the envelope.
Note: Do not place any other items in the envelope. Inserting promotional materials, contact information, or any other items with the gift card is a violation of the User Agreement and will result in the withholding of payment.
- Drop the package off at any United States Postal Office or in your mailbox for pick up.
Once your package has been shipped and scanned into the USPS tracking system, you can track your package throughout its journey to the buyer.
